HF Cleaning

HF Cleaning

To ensure the quality of finished product, a special cleaning system has been developed to secure the integrity of the final product. This is performed by removing a very thin (.002 inch) layer of contaminants on completed titanium assemblies. Strict testing and monitoring of the cleaning process take place before, during and after the process.

Vapor De-Greasing

We use a Controlled Vapor Degreaser, an in-process cleaning station that utilizes a blend of non-ozone-depleting fluorinated solvents that meet or exceed our customers’ cleaning requirements. Applications include:

  • Caustic spray and caustic flush to meet CJ 4.1 standard
  • Precision cleaning with an IPA flush and agitation

Nickel Plating

Nickel Plating

STS Aerospace has developed a nickel-plating process to ensure good bonding on gold-brazed joints on products. This process puts an extremely thin but uniform layer of nickel plating on parts. Quality is assured by continuously monitoring with a variety of modern instruments.

Dry Film Lubricant

Dry Film Lubricant

This important lubricant is required on many STS Aerospace products and is applied in a controlled environment, then cured in a calibrated and computer-controlled drying oven. Each run is carefully monitored, documented, and tested prior to release.
