President

Mike Stern has grown up in the aerospace industry, holding various positions of increasing scope and responsibility, culminating in his current role as President of STS Aerospace. Mike is a true visionary, he can see how today shapes tomorrow, but more importantly how it affects future growth and change.

A born leader, Mike builds his team by selecting individuals eager to work as a support system together—those with desire to activate their potential, in turn, truly caring for our customers and meeting their needs. He is able to see others’ strengths and opportunities, and bears the ability to motivate everyone to excel in their goals. Mike puts his trust in his people, he values personal growth at every level. By providing each team member a voice, he inspires collective ownership, fosters strong relationships, and nurtures potential. This culture has become magnetic, and is largely responsible for who STS Aerospace is today.

Outside of the office you will find Mike riding motorcycles and spending time with his wife and three daughters.

While he may be objective and equitable for fiscal decisions, his love for Liverpool United is unwavering.

Fitting perfectly in within our leadership team as the resident gut checker, Brita has an ability to give alternative perspectives that support with decision making at all levels of the organization. Brita’s spirited initiative is inspiring and relentless when she is given a task list and is responsible for checking all of the items off of it, Brita will do it in warp speed. Once Brita is done with her to-do list, she enjoys baking, spending time with family and various outdoor activities like riding ATVs and Kayaking.

Chris is a Data Analytics Rockstar who slices through excel and access databases like its no-ones business. It was once thought that the quote “You can’t improve what you don’t measure” was originally stated by him. Chris is the powerhouse behind all of our systems and will be the mastermind for our future technology endeavors. Chris enjoys spending time at his home in North Carolina with his two sons who, occasionally, will pop onto a teams call to show you their missing tooth, his wife and his dog, Finn.

Natalie is the nucleus of the team, channeling energy as she goes. Her adept problem solving skills make her a chameleon in the team, and she thrives on creating individualized results that fall just outside the box. She’s also a huge fan of the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, she tests everyone, and then uses the results to build project groups and even lunch table layouts.

Shawn comes to us with extensive experience in operations and operational excellence. He has a lean six sigma black belt and has held plant management and continuous improvement focused roles with his previous employers. Shawn’s leadership philosophy aligns with the STS culture and focus on talent development, process improvement and team building. Shawn served 20 years in the US Marines, holding various leadership and continuous improvement roles during that time. Outside of work, you will either find him at home with his family, in front of 5 computer screens gaming his heart out or out on the road with his Motorcycle.

Beginning in 1997 at Lewis & Saunders, moving to Scotia Technology in 2008 as a Manufacturing Engineer, and then being promoted to the management team in 2014, Rick’s extensive background in the aerospace industry and customer-focused resolve has made him the no-nonsense leader he is today. Rick is an important part of our management team, encouraging everyone to take part in problem solving while having the innate ability to see all possible outcomes. Rick’s tenacity and professionalism have been a model for STS team.

At the age of 18, Thibaut started at Titeflex as a working student. Through hard work and dedication, he rose the ranks of the organization, and at 24 was tasked with building and developing our plant in India. Thibaut’s path to success is based on communication building and nurturing long-term relationships with clients and colleagues alike. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Sarcasm—all of which he can use in the same sentence.

Famous for his Dashboards and quick witted movie references, John has over two decades of engineering and management experience in all aspects of aerospace manufacturing. A born leader, John has a can-do attitude, a keen attention to detail, a sharp problem solving ability, and excellent communication skills, making him an impeccable fit and valuable asset to STS Aero. John is a resilient leader who’s focus on Teamwork has cultivated an organization that strives to achieve internal goals while meeting customer demands. When John isn’t managing our NJ facility, he’s wrenching on his prized Grand National.

Roopesh has been with us since 2010 and has been our champion in organizing and fine tuning our lean plant in India, his dedication and passion were a fuel for his career growth and take the leading role in Titeflex India. Outside of work, Roopesh loves to wake up at the crack of dawn to compete in a badminton match and stay up until past dusk binging movies.

Previously she has spent time on the manufacturing floor as a product planner so she knows the ins and outs of managing WIP. Sue just celebrated her 25th anniversary and outside of work loves spending time with her grandchildren and her dog Stella.

She has been with the organization for almost 5 years and is the developer and owner of our MPS system. She has strong analytical skills, is a quick learner and is agile in her thinking. Outside of work, you can either find her spending time with her daughter Bailey or exploring New England on her motorcycle.

Having come from a background in Disney entertainment, she is well versed in the intricacies of Customer Service but is also known to throw out some jazz hands and perform a quick dance move or two, at a moment’s notice. Jenn’s gumption makes her the ideal customer service rep as she can manage hurdles at a whim and make difficult situations positive with a never ending smile on her face. Jenn is a quick learner and uses her personal skills to build trustworthy relationships that support her at all levels of the organization. Outside of the office, you’ll find her at Crossfit or enjoying time with her husband and new rescue pup.
