NDT, Non-Destructive Testing, is a critical quality testing process that our customers rely on us to perform. Our inspectors are highly trained, then qualified and certified to strict customer requirements as well as the National Aerospace Standard, NAS-410, which is “the” governing document regarding personnel qualification and certification. Radiographic Testing (RT)

Radiographic Testing (RT) uses the high resolution medium of film for detection of defects below the surface of a weld, brazed joint, or cast material part defects such as fissures, gas pockets, contaminants, and other very small inclusions are identified by qualified inspectors. By incorporating strict controls on the process and equipment, this method assures the reliability and quality of our product.

Digital Radiography

Digital Radiography uses modern, state-of-the-art digital technologies such as Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Detector Array (DDA) to capture radiographic images of our product. Fast and efficient, this process adds versatility to the existing film radiography methods we use to detect internal defects as small as .005 inches inside a product, assuring our product meets or exceeds our customer’s requirements the safety and quality of the product shipped.

Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection

FPI – Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection

FPI is an inspection method used by STS Aerospace to detect defects in parts and assemblies. Using a brilliant green dye that glows under black light, FPI finds defects as small as .010 inches in size on surfaces of parts such as welded, cast, forged, or brazed areas. Highly qualified personnel and controlled systems assure the product delivered meets stringent customer requirements.

Pressure Test

We offer both fully electronic and XXXX systems capable of continuously monitoring and recording pressure on tubes and formed parts with up to 11,000 psi pressure. These versatile systems can accept products with lengths of up to 11 feet and monitor multiple parts at one time.
